Important information about FEA

Facility Excellence Assessment (FEA) is an independent facility assessment and certification framework intended to evaluate and benchmark facility performance against defined assessment criteria and established best practices.

01

Purpose of FEA

FEA is designed to provide facilities with an objective framework for evaluating areas such as safety, hygiene, housekeeping, maintenance, engineering services, security, sustainability, service quality and user experience.

The assessment is intended to support organizations in identifying strengths, operational gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement.

02

Assessment Does Not Replace Statutory Compliance

FEA assessment and certification should not be considered a replacement for statutory inspections, government approvals, regulatory requirements, licenses, certifications or mandatory compliance obligations applicable to a facility.

Facility owners, operators and management remain responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, codes, standards and statutory requirements.

03

Assessment Findings

FEA findings, observations, scores and recommendations are based on information and conditions observed during the assessment period.

Facility conditions may change after the assessment due to operational activities, maintenance conditions, environmental factors, personnel changes or other circumstances.

04

Certification

FEA Certification is awarded based on the applicable assessment methodology, scoring framework and certification criteria in effect at the time of assessment.

Certification represents the facility's performance against the FEA assessment framework at the time of evaluation and should not be interpreted as a permanent guarantee of facility performance.

05

No Guarantee of Future Performance

While FEA assessments are intended to provide a structured and evidence-based evaluation, no representation is made that a facility will remain at the same performance level after completion of the assessment.

FEA Certification does not guarantee the absence of accidents, incidents, failures, service disruptions, regulatory issues or other unforeseen events.

06

Recommendations

Recommendations provided through an FEA assessment are intended to assist facility management in prioritising improvement opportunities.

The implementation, interpretation and execution of recommendations remain the responsibility of the facility owner, management or relevant appointed parties.

07

Information Provided by Facilities

FEA may rely on information, documents, records and representations provided by facility management or authorised personnel during the assessment process.

FEA cannot be responsible for inaccuracies, omissions or misrepresentations in information supplied by the facility.

08

Photographs and Evidence

Photographs, records, documents and other evidence collected during an assessment may be used to support observations, scoring and reporting, subject to applicable confidentiality and agreed assessment conditions.

09

Third-Party Standards and References

Where FEA assessment criteria refer to industry practices, statutory requirements, technical guidance or other external standards, such references are used for assessment purposes and do not imply endorsement, accreditation or affiliation with the respective organisation unless expressly stated.

10

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, FEA and its representatives shall not be responsible for losses, damages, claims or consequences arising from decisions made by a facility or third party based solely on an FEA assessment, report, score, recommendation or certification.

Facility management remains responsible for operational decisions, risk management, statutory compliance and implementation of corrective or improvement actions.
